Privacy Policy

The short version

• Saathi runs entirely on your phone. Your diary never leaves it.
• No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. We cannot read what you write.
• The only time the app goes online is to download its AI model once.
• You can export or delete everything yourself, at any time.

What stays on your phone

Everything you write, Saathi's replies, the memories it keeps, your settings and your check-in times are stored only on your phone, in an encrypted database. The key is held in your phone's secure key store. You can lock the app with Face ID or your fingerprint. On Android, the app's data is excluded from phone backups, so it is not copied to a cloud backup.

Saathi asks before it keeps a new memory, and you can see, edit or delete memories in the app.

What is sent over the internet

Only one thing: the first time you set it up, Saathi downloads its AI models (about 3.5 GB) from Hugging Face, and checks that the files are genuine. Hugging Face sees your IP address for that download, like any website. Nothing you write is sent anywhere, before or after.

We do not run a server for Saathi and receive no data from the app.

Safety

If what you write suggests you may be in danger, Saathi shows real helplines for your country. This check runs on your phone. Nothing is reported to anyone. Saathi is an AI, not a counsellor or a doctor. If you are struggling, please talk to someone you trust or a professional.

Permissions

• Internet: only to download the AI models once.
• Notifications: for the check-in reminders you choose. They are scheduled on your phone.
• Face ID or fingerprint: only if you turn on the app lock.

Saathi does not ask for your location, microphone, contacts or advertising ID.

Export and delete

You can export your diary to a file you control. Delete everything in Settings wipes the database, its keys and every scheduled reminder. Uninstalling the app also removes all of it. Since we hold no copy, nothing can be recovered afterwards.

Children

Saathi is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We collect no data at all, so we hold none from children.

Changes and contact

If this changes, we will update this page and the date at the top, and tell you in the app. Questions: support@nxtduo.com. We reply within 30 days.
